Sustainable Development

footprintfriend November 16th to 28th will be Environment week in Middle school.

One of the cross curricular projects at ISN  will be to take part in the Foot Print friends         Campaign. This campaign started in the UK and aims at gathering one million photos of foot art and Eco-poems from children all over the world and send them in the form of  a “Book of Dreams” to the UN conference on Climate Change which starts in Copenhagen on December 15th.By sending photos of beautifully painted feet and examples of Eco poems the students in ISN want to show that even if they can’t be at the UN Conference they can make their voices heard and let the world leaders of the UNITED NATION know that they care about this crucial moment.

The LAKE GAME.

The IE University in Spain has proposed an opportunity to participate in the Lake Game, a secondary school competition in which each team (we will have three teams made up of the all the students in Grade. 11) has to manage one of eight Paper Factories which is located around a lake. Our students will be video-linked with the university and other IB and non-IB schools around Europe via web-cam etc.

It brings together economics, biology, physics, chemistry and geography.  Its main aim is the sustainable management of our resources, and balancing competition with cooperation. It should be an opportunity for the students to work together.
