History

The International School of Nice (ISN) was founded in 1976 and was taken over by the French Riviera Chamber of Commerce in 1994. The school's excellent exam results and University placement records have made ISN an essential part of the educational infrastructure on the Cote d'Azur. ISN provides an Anglophone programme for students aged 4 to 18 years (Pre-K to Grade 12), culminating in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB). The International School of Nice is an IB World School, and is fully accredited by two international agencies - the European Council for International Schools (CIE), and the Middle States Association of the United States (MSA).

The International School of Nice is a clear reflection of the international community on the French Riviera with an enrolment of 42 nationalities including British, American, French, Scandinavian, Russian, Italian, German, and Dutch students. The average length of stay for students is six years, and more students are completing their whole primary and secondary education at the school. The teaching staff is composed mainly of British, American and French teachers, and the Director is American/Italian.

ISN is recognised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation of Geneva, and offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP) to grades Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5, and IB courses to grades 11 & 12. In grades 9 and 10, students prepare a selection of IGCSE examinations. The School is also a Certified Test Administration Site, and serves as a test centre for the PSAT, SAT I & SAT II, SSAT, Advanced Placement and ACT exams.
