Our Lower School football team sponsored by the Companie Monegasque de Banque competed in the Mediterranean Cup tournament in Verona this past weekend. It was a challenging but rewarding tournament for our kids playing 8-a-side football and after 10 matches we came home with the 2nd place trophy in the “Champions Cup”. Well done to all!

A special mention from the tournament organisers.

We would like to compliment your school for the attitude and enthusiasm of the coaches and for the fantastic spirit of sportsmanship and fair play demonstrated by your players.

Your Primary School team really impressed me.

After a very, very difficult start, they were able to dig deep and find the reserves of determination that allowed them to reverse some of their earlier defeats and finish with an impressive Second Place trophy in the Champions Cup.

A few quote from the players:

I thought that Verona was awesome because it was fun playing football with the others. Mattis

I felt excited because it was my first football tournament and I learnt a lot. Didier

I thought that the tournament was very good. Chiara-Marie

When I went to Verona I was scared but it was also exciting and we were 2ns. That’s good! Camilla

 We came 2nd! Alex

A big thank you to our sponsors the Companie Monegasque de Banque.
