IGCSE Examinations

During Grades 9 and 10, students complete core Pre-IB courses and the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) courses. IGCSEs are a set of high-profile qualifications with an excellent reputation that provide a broad curriculum suitable for international schools.

As a highly-regarded and academically rigorous two-year programme, IGCSE provides students with a recognised qualification for university admissions and, at the same time, the very best foundation for the IB Diploma Programme.

We feel that rigorous external examinations provide students with valuable experience for the IBDP. IGCSE results do not directly impact earning credit for graduation requirements but are considered, along with the final grade awarded in Grade 10, for acceptance onto IB Diploma courses.

Nurturing Unique Journeys

Teachers at ISN Nice tailor their approach to teaching IGCSE subjects based on the individual needs of every student. Preparation begins in Grade 8 (the final year of Middle School), when students are guided to reflect on their strengths and talents, and to consider their post-secondary education further down the line.

They are helped by our University Counsellor - as part of our Futureproof Programme - as well as their subject teachers and the IGCSE coordinator.

Our aim is to promote skills and aptitudes for life-long learning that will ensure your child is equipped for new and future challenges. We encourage students to become confident in working with information and ideas - their own and those of others.

Our approach is underpinned by the Globeducate vision to prepare each student to become a global citizen who can shape the world. Our students will be intellectually and socially agile enough to adapt to the pace of change in the world of work and technology, and will graduate with a passion for learning.
