The International School of Nice, an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, is a proud member of Globeducate. Our school has been a member of the Globeducate family of international schools since 2019.

Previously known as NACE Schools, Globeducate, close to celebrating its 50th anniversary, was founded in 1972 upon the opening of its first nursery school in Barcelona, Spain.

Globeducate is one of the leading international K12 education groups in the world, a network of 60+ premium bi-lingual and international schools, as well as online programmes, with 40,000 students in 12 countries, spanning four continents.

A Globeducate school creates opportunities to connect with students from our schools across the world to come together, in person or online, for sport, music, arts, academic challenges and to work with others to help build a more equal, fair and sustainable world. A crucial part of providing an excellent education, Globeducate teachers inspire our students to find their voice in this world. They encourage them to understand world events and to think about their values and what is important to them, and to challenge ignorance and intolerance.

Globeducate’s Educational Vision

The world is changing at an incredible pace and education has to keep up with this constantly shifting environment. Our students can only succeed in tomorrow's world if they are well prepared for the challenges they will face in their future professional and personal lives. In addition to providing an excellent academic education, we ensure that our students develop skills and abilities beyond the purely academic and lay down a solid, values-based foundation for life.

Four essential principles – commitments to our students – underpin this compelling ethos:

  1. We deliver educational excellence
  2. We develop skills and competencies
  3. We build character
  4. We nurture global perspectives

Acting for a Sustainable Future

Young people will only succeed in the world of tomorrow if they are prepared for the challenges they will face. As educators at Globeducate, we have the opportunity and responsibility to lay the foundations for a better future and this begins with a robust response to the pace of change we see in the world and to the approach we take to sustainability education.

Watch this short film explaining Globeducate's mission to address the social, economic and environmental challenges that are re-shaping our communities across the world.

SHAPING THE WORLD and the United Nations SDGs

Globeducate has developed a Global Agenda to bring our vision to life in classrooms. Through partnerships with WWF and Eco Schools, we can fulfil our mission to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Working in Partnership with the WWF

Our global partnership with leading conservation charity WWF sees us collaborating across our school network, impacting on the education of more than 28,000 young people each year.  With the WWF having played a key role in identifying the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, it is a natural partnership for Globeducate.

Working closely with the WWF Education Team, our schools have a calendar of events and learning opportunities.  The WWF supports Globeducate by sourcing inspirational speakers and experts and offers unique opportunities for these events.  Additonally Globeducate works closely with the WWF in providing teacher training in sustainability education.

“It is truly inspiring to see the huge amount of work Globeducate schools around the world do to prioritise sustainability and work for the good of the planet. Their imaginative ideas show the passion and commitment there is across the network and it is clear that Globeducate are inspiring and empowering a wave of young environmental leaders.”  Matt Larsen-Daw, WWF Education Manager

Action-based learning: Globeducate and Eco-Schools

Eco-Schools is the world´s largest sustainability education programme and it offers an accessible framework for schools in every country in which we work.  Globeducate schools are all committed to being Eco-Schools  and to achieving and retaining Green Flag status.

Across our network, our students and teachers work with their own Eco-School committees and come up with inspiring ways to mark globally recognised eco events such as Earth Hour, Earth Week and Earth Day.

These days unite our whole Globeducate family as our students and teachers from across different age groups and cultures share what they have done with their contemporaries and families.

Our Global Steam Agenda

At the heart of our Globeducate vision — we prepare students to be global citizens who can shape the world — lies our commitment to equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to make their own impact on the future.

Science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics play a crucial part in every young Globeducate student´s learning journey. Through a “hands-on, minds-on” approach to learning and teaching, students acquire the tools and critical thinking skills to approaching problems.

How we integrate STEAM into curricula

By integrating our Globeducate STEAM agenda across our school curricula and programmes, and embedding creativity in all science, technology, engineering, arts and maths lessons and activities, students learn how to make connections, how to organise their ideas, how to be creative, how to make decisions and how to work together across different disciplines.  Importantly, they learn the ability to transfer what they learn in one curriculum area to others, and to real-life situations.

Our Events, Agenda & Learning Communities

Globeducate schools across the world join together for a series of annual international events.

Globeducate schools offer unique opportunities for true global readiness. Throughout the academic year, Globeducate regularly organises events and invites students and teachers from across our network to attend or, where possible, participate remotely.

Our events are organised into three areas:

•Globeducate Events (Six global events)

•Globeducate Agenda (WWF, Eco-Schools, Debates)

•Globeducate Learning Communities (Outdoor Learning, Reading, STEAM)

This approach allows everyone to see how different events link to create the best possible experiences for our students all over the world. It also allows us to build on the fantastic work that our schools are doing with programmes such as Eco-Schools and to celebrate success across the group and to inspire each other.
