A progressively popular programme, the International Baccalaureate was founded in Geneva more than half a century ago with the vision of creating a better world through international education.

It offers students a broad and balanced curriculum, from primary through pre-university, that champions both academic achievement and personal development, well-respected by leading universities and colleges worldwide.

The International School of Nice, an independent school with instruction in English, was founded for globally-mobile families aspiring to international education on the azure coast. Today, ISN is the only IB World School on the Côte d'Azur to offer instruction entirely in English while also having been awarded dual American and European accreditation.

Recognised as an IB World School since 1990, the International School of Nice is authorised by the IB organisation to offer:

  • The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
  • The IB Diploma Programme (IB DP).

ISN is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme.

The IB organisation’s philosophy highlights the importance of a holistic approach to learning where each student fully develops as a whole person and takes a proactive role as a responsible global citizen.

This encapsulates our school’s vision, which is to prepare today’s learners to confidently embrace challenges as adaptable, empathetic global citizens who will be active contributors for a more sustainable world. The IB philosophy is made actionable by the IB learner profile, which outlines the ten attributes at the heart of this approach.
