Excellence on the French Riviera: ISN Nice Celebrates Outstanding Class of 2026 IB Results

The International School of Nice (ISN Nice) is proudly celebrating the exceptional achievements of its graduating Class of 2026 following the release of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results. Demonstrating profound resilience and academic mastery, ISN students achieved an excellent 100% pass rate and have significantly outperformed international benchmarks, with individual achievements climbing as high as an outstanding 43 points.

By positioning themselves well ahead of global scoring trends, the Class of 2026 has secured coveted places at top-tier universities worldwide, cementing ISN Nice’s reputation as a premium provider of international education on the French Riviera.

The Results in Numbers

This year’s results showcase a brilliant distribution of scores across the cohort. Highlighting this achievement, ISN Nice students accomplished a 100% pass rate. While the global average DP score is 30.9 points for the May 2026 session, ISN Nice students soared past this international standard. Over half of the graduating class achieved an impressive 35 points or more, comfortably exceeding worldwide trends.

With 17% of students scoring in the elite 40–45 point bracket—a feat accomplished by only a small fraction of candidates globally—and a remarkable 55% scoring 35 points and above, alongside a perfect 100% pass rate, the Class of 2026 has proven that an individualised, supportive learning framework consistently breeds top-tier academic results.

A Vision of 'Academics Plus'

Reflecting on this milestone, Mel Curtis, ISN Head of School, emphasised that these achievements are the result of a deliberate, holistic strategy:

“Seeing our students achieve these outstanding IB results is a moment of real pride for our whole community... These results reaffirm something we have always believed: that high performance is not an innate talent, but a capability that can be systematically developed. At our school, advanced cognitive performance goes hand in hand with a deep commitment to wellbeing, emotional support, and inclusion. As I have always expressed, it's 'Academics Plus'—combining high expectations and rigorous intellectual growth with the care and guidance that allow every student to thrive.”

Santanu Bhowmik, IBDP Coordinator, echoed this sentiment, framing the results through the unique personal stories behind the statistics:

“To the world, these are IB results. To us, they are stories. Stories of resilience after disappointment. Stories of curiosity becoming understanding. Stories of teachers who inspired. Stories of families who believed... Today we celebrate exceptional results. Tomorrow we continue our commitment to learning, growth, and becoming the very best version of ourselves.”

In the Words of the Graduates

The true magic of the ISN Nice experience is best expressed by the students themselves, who highlighted the tight-knit community, tailored support, and transformative learning environment that defined their two-year IB journey.

“When I began at ISN in August 2024, I didn’t know what to expect. How would I manage without speaking French? And how would the IB be for someone who had only recently started studying in English? From the very beginning, everyone was incredibly welcoming and understanding... I have formed amazing friendships, enormously expanded my intellectual horizon, and learned how to think critically. I am beyond thankful to ISN for all the support I have received, both emotionally and academically.” - Maya, ISN Class of 2026 Graduate and Top Student

“What makes ISN so special is the sense of community that exists throughout the school. Whether it was classmates supporting each other through deadlines or teachers always making time to offer guidance, there was a real sense that everyone was invested in each other’s success. That culture of kindness, support, and belonging is something I will always be grateful for. The IB journey certainly came with its challenges, but receiving my results has shown me that hard work and perseverance really do pay off.” - Mey, ISN Class of 2026 Graduate

“I am beyond grateful to the sense of community that has been instilled at ISN... The individualised and meta-cognitive approach has really marked me, and the classroom moments where teachers meshed academics to creativity were unforgettable. The growth achieved could not have been possible without my family and teachers acting as pillars throughout the years.” Finn, ISN Class of 2026 Graduate

“I joined ISN in my last year of high school, and even though I was not an ISN student for long, ISN was definitely one of my favourite schools that I've been to. As soon as I arrived, I immediately felt so welcomed by my teachers and classmates, who were so kind to me! My teachers were so supportive throughout the whole process and really pushed me to get the results I achieved! Lea, ISN Class of 2026 Graduate

“Overall, this experience has been full of growth and new beginnings for me as an individual, and I am proud to have overcome the challenges that came along with it! Additionally, I would like to thank the ISN teachers and coordinators for helping me achieve this goal!” - Mariia, ISN Class of 2026 Graduate

Looking Ahead

As the Class of 2026 transitions from students to alumni, they leave the campus of Nice equipped with far more than an excellent diploma. They venture out into the world carrying intellectual confidence, robust global perspectives, and a deep-seated resilience.

The entire ISN Nice community congratulates its graduates and looks forward to seeing how these exceptional young people shape the global landscape of tomorrow.
