An Unforgettable Adventure Exploring Barcelona

In the bustling streets of Barcelona, our Grade 8 students embarked on a journey of exploration and camaraderie that will be etched in their memories forever. From May 20th to May 27th, they immersed themselves in the vibrant culture and rich history of this captivating city.

Under the guidance of Mr. Fernandez and Ms. Hertsens, our dedicated teachers, the students explored the heart of Barcelona, experiencing its sights, sounds, and flavors. They wandered through winding streets adorned with street art, discovering the city's unique artistic expression. Whether it was capturing the essence of Barcelona through their own street art or participating in mosaic workshops, creativity knew no bounds.

Of course, no trip to Barcelona is complete without indulging in its culinary delights. After a day filled with exploration and adventure, the students savoured the taste of traditional churros, a well-deserved treat that added a sweet touch to their unforgettable experiences.

Reflecting on the trip, Mr. Fernandez shared his insights: "It was heartwarming to witness the students coming together, forging bonds, and sharing laughter amidst the beauty of Barcelona. I have no doubt that this journey has solidified lifelong friendships and created cherished memories."

Aaron, Serena, and Sarah, among others, also recounted their favorite moments. From Aaron's fascination with the lively Plaça de Catalunya and its friendly pigeons to Serena's excitement in experimenting with street art and mosaics, each student found their own unique connection to Barcelona. Sarah expressed her delight in discovering new art forms and the vibrant energy of the city, igniting a passion for creativity that will continue to inspire her and her peers.
