ISN Nice Celebrates the Class of 2022
Jennifer Wallace

On Friday May 3rd, the Grade 12 Class of 2022 graduated with style, poise and pride. They made their way to our beautiful outdoor stage to pomp and ceremony, and at the nod of the Director took their seats. The High School Diploma was awarded to all who graduated today, 38 students in person and one on zoom.

ISN Nice Director, Mel Curtis says: "I am exceptionally proud of all our graduating students today. They have persevered through unprecedented challenges over the last two years, and have consistently honoured ISN with their resilience and determination. In my opening address to the students I focused on the crucial aspect of realising your self worth, being authentic, and building upon who you really are. I encouraged the students to go out into the world and get involved in communities and make an impact, and not be afraid to fail along the way. Mistakes build character, and learning to bounce back from setbacks will prepare them for their life at university and beyond."

Congratulations to all our graduates and a special mention to our Salutatorian Everard Dujardin, who was our Head Boy last year, and Valedictorian Emma Baumgartner, who was our Deputy Head Girl last year. Our guest speaker was Angelo Legrand, an alum of ISN who is now a budding entrepreneur in London. He has co-founded a sustainable clothing brand with his brother Tino.

It was lovely to be outside and welcome our parents and families without masks, together we experienced a wonderful ambience of pride, formality and the end of an era. The ceremony ended in the traditional throwing of the caps.
