Global Leaders in the Making: ISN Shines at Valencia MUN 2025

From 11 to 14 March, ISN students participated in the Globeducate MUN 2025 in Valencia, hosted by Cambridge House British International School, joining delegates from Globeducate schools around the world for a dynamic conference filled with diplomacy, debate, and global collaboration.
Day 1 kicked off with warm welcomes, icebreakers at Malvarrosa Beach, and team-building activities, setting the stage for an engaging and productive conference.
Day 2 & 3 featured intense committee sessions where students debated pressing global issues, from regulating AI in military technologies to ethical space exploration. ISN students contributed to discussions in the Security Council, Environmental Commission, and Human Rights Commission, demonstrating strong negotiation skills and policy expertise.
Day 4 concluded with the ultimate challenge: a General Assembly crisis debate where delegates had to unite and pass a resolution under tight time constraints. It was a true test of collaboration and diplomacy, and ISN students rose to the occasion.
A highlight for ISN was the recognition of two students who received the prestigious Best Delegate award:
- Adrian (Grade 9) – Best Delegate in the Security Council
- Uliana (Grade 12) – Best Delegate in the Environmental Commission
Uliana (Grade 12) shared her thoughts: “The Valencia MUN was unequivocally the most fun and fulfilling school trip I've ever had. The host school did an incredible job of organising it. Every fellow delegate was as kind as can be, and our chairs in the committees did an incredible job. Winning the Best Delegate award wouldn't have been possible if the environment wasn't so engaging. I highly recommend anyone with the opportunity to participate in MUN next year to do so.”
Adrian (Grade 9) reflected on his experience: “Attending GEMUN in Valencia, my first-ever MUN conference, was an incredible experience. Representing the United States in the Security Council, I engaged in intense debates, negotiated resolutions, and defended my country’s position on global issues such as the war between Russia and Ukraine. The discussions were challenging, but I pushed myself to think critically, speak persuasively, and collaborate with other delegates. I was honoured to receive the award for Best Delegate, a recognition that made all the hard work and preparation worthwhile. Winning this award at my first MUN was an unforgettable moment, and it has motivated me to continue growing as a delegate. This conference has strengthened my passion for diplomacy, and I am excited to participate in more MUN conferences in the future!”
Sergio Galvis, ISN MUN Coordinator, expressed his pride: “It’s with immense pride that we celebrate the success of our students at GEMUN 2025. This recognition is the reward for the long hours of preparation and dedication our delegates put into this event.”
A big thank you to all delegates, chairs, and organisers for making the Globeducate MUN 2025 a success! Until next year!
