The seventh annual Globeducate Academic Olympics drew to a close on Friday, 25th November, with the winning team, The Clever Leaves, a mixed team of girls from Bilingual European School Milan, Agora Madrid International School, Agora Portals International School, and EIB Collège Monceau from Paris.

Congratulations to Aitana, Talia, Kseniia, Ying Giada and Silvia, all aged 13 to 14. All of the students at the event were mixed between schools, creating an exciting atmosphere of new friendships forming and of learning from each other’s different backgrounds and experiences.

Executive Principal of ICS Milan, Antonia Giovanazzi said, “These have been the most wonderful and uplifting few days at ICS Milan. The Academic Olympics saw ordinary students become extraordinary people. They worked openly and collaboratively together, solved problems, made new friends and discovered strengths and characteristics about themselves and others, which I know, will stay with them for a very long time. The power and energy created by bringing different communities of learning together is the sweet spot where the magic begins.”

The team from ISN Nice thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Milan and found it an enriching experience.

It has been wonderful to explore a new city. It was a great experience to be able to meet all these new people. And the museum was great!” Annabelle

“It was a really fun and interactive few days. I hope to come back next year!” Michelangelo
