On Friday 28th May ISN Nice celebrated the Grade 12 graduation ceremony with an outdoor event in the sunshine. Fifty Grade 12 students took to the stage to receive their High School Diplomas in front of their family members and teachers, who were overjoyed to be able to share the moment together after a very challenging year.

We also honoured the Valedictorian Dimitrios Stathogiannopoulos and the Salutatorian Billy Gregory, who both gave passionate (and humorous) speeches on the impact COVID has had on their final two years at school, and how proud they were of their classmates for all they had achieved despite the hurdles.

ISN Nice Directrice Mel Curtis’ speech touched on issues of authenticity, self-believe and courage, as she encouraged the students to embrace a ‘never give up’ attitude as they take the next steps on their journey onto university or a gap year.

In the words of Mel Curtis: “There will be moments when you might want to give up on yourself and your dreams. You must believe success is possible, because as you continue on your journey, you will eventually embark upon those moments, the ones that you have always imagined coming true.”

Congratulations to all our Grade 12 students, and thank you to the PTA Team and ISN Nice staff members for ensuring the ceremony was a great success.
