Grade 12 ESS Trip

Grade 12 ESS Trip
Michelle Van Buuren

Our Grade 12 Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) students recently embarked on an exciting field trip to St Jean Cap Ferrat, where they explored the intricate world of environmental science. This excursion was a practical application of their two years of hard work and learning, culminating just before their IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) exams.

After measuring the beach's surface area, the students had to measure the surface area of the Posidonia seagrass. They used their IB skills to collect data using a transect and quadrat, providing a practical application of theory just before the IBDP exam.

Congratulations to our Grade 12 ESS students on a successful field trip and best wishes as they embark on their IBDP exams—a fitting end to a remarkable two-year program!
