ISN Students at International Speech Competition

ISN Students at International Speech Competition
Michelle Van Buuren

On the evening of Wednesday 25 January, we were proud to see two ISN Nice contestants, Anabelle and Julia (Grade 7), compete at a regional International Speech Competition, hosted by our sister school, Mougins British International School.

The level of all the speeches was impressively high”, stated Mrs Therrien, our Middle School Principal.  “Julia’s speech on a political figure was genuine.  Anabelle advanced to the second round with a speech on harmony and racism, which completed her poignant first speech.

We are happy to say that Anabelle came in third position.  We are so proud of our students and the hard work they displayed during the preparation prior to the competition.”

Mrs Therrien added, “I also want to congratulate our two coaches who prepared the students for this event: Ms. Benidor and McKullen, from the English department.”

"Annabelle has worked passionately and diligently on her speech around the theme “Harmony”. Her hard work paid off at Mougins School. She is a natural, able to capture and maintain her audience’s attention from start to finish, never ceasing to be herself and staying true to her values and beliefs. She makes her ISN community very proud! Well done Annabelle!" Ms Benidor.
