On Sunday, 27 April, nearly 400 enthusiastic young runners — including students aged 5 to 15 from ISN Nice — brought the Stade du Fort Carré in Antibes to life during the sixth annual Mimosa Kids Fun Run. The day buzzed with energy, empathy, and shared purpose as families, schools, and the broader Côte d’Azur community came together to raise funds for children undergoing cancer treatment.

Children participated in races of 800m, 1600m, and 3200m — running not only for fitness, but in heartfelt solidarity with young cancer patients whose strength continues to inspire. The event aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, promoting both physical activity and social responsibility.

ISN Nice proudly joined sister schools ICS Côte d’Azur and Mougins School in supporting the Mimosa event, alongside organisations such as La Ligue Contre le Cancer, Dessine-moi la High-Tech Nice, and the Antibes Juan-les-Pins community.

Thanks to the dedication of students, staff, families, and supporters, the Mimosa Mini Runners campaign has already raised an impressive €11,164.

Beyond the races, the day featured face painting, homemade treats, a bouncy castle, and a tech booth hosted by Dessine-moi la High-Tech, ensuring fun for all ages and abilities.

All proceeds support the Nice branch of Dessine-moi la High-Tech, a trailblazing non-profit organisation (recognised under French law 1901) founded by a group of friends, engineers, and doctors. Their mission is to support the fight against paediatric cancer by using advanced technology to improve the hospital experience for young patients.

Their groundbreaking initiatives include:

  • Virtual reality games and robotics workshops to engage children during hospital stays

  • Personalised drone piloting sessions designed specifically for young patients

  • Big Data and AI research to help advance paediatric cancer treatments

  • VR-based training tools to help medical teams deliver more effective and compassionate care

Participation in the Mimosa Kids Fun Run reflects ISN Nice’s commitment to nurturing compassionate, principled, and globally minded citizens — a core value of the Globeducate mission. Through initiatives like this, students learn to understand the world and how to actively shape it.
