The ISN U16 boys travelled to Verona for the Med Cup and delivered an impressive performance marked by skill, determination, and excellent teamwork. Over three intense days of competition, the Wolves faced schools from across Europe and the Middle East, demonstrating not only talent but extraordinary heart.
From rallying around each other to embracing feedback and bouncing back from tough scorelines, our players showed what resilience truly looks like. Their determination carried them through every challenge — and ultimately to the top of the podium.
Friday saw a mixed start, with narrow losses against Prague (1–2) and TBS Warsaw (1–4), before the team found their rhythm in a commanding 3–0 victory over SGIS Luxembourg. A hard-fought 1–1 draw with Marbella SS and a tough match against SLS Milan rounded off the day. Goal scorers were Diogo, Nicholas, Diogo (2), Nicholas.

On Saturday, the Wolves came back stronger, securing another 3–0 win over SGIS Luxembourg, followed by closely contested matches against Vilnius and Bahrain. But it was in the semi-final that the team’s spirit truly shone: a resounding 5–1 win over Vilnius, powered by a hat-trick from Nicholas and a brilliant brace from Yanel, sent ISN charging into the final.
On Sunday, the final brought the Wolves face-to-face once again with SGIS Luxembourg. After a tight 1–1 draw in regular time, ISN headed into a tense penalty shoot-out. With incredible composure, Francesco, Enzo, and Filippo buried their penalties to secure the win — and the championship title.
A special congratulations goes to Diogo, who was named Best Player in our tournament bracket for his outstanding performances throughout the weekend.
The squad demonstrated exceptional grit, unity, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Their teamwork, resilience, and commitment were evident in every match, and they represented ISN with distinction.

Let’s hear it for the Wolves — Med Cup Champions!
